Use Gratitude to Manifest Your Dreams

Updated: May 2, 2023

Introduction

Over the years, so many people have asked me, “what do you do to manifest your dreams and succeed at accomplishing all of your goals?” Time and time again, I respond by talking about manifestation and the use of planners and journals in my daily life. And at the top of my list, my gratitude practice is the first thing I do every day, well after I have a few sips of coffee. It is my way of starting my day with thankfulness for what I already have and what I am manifesting in my life. For those of you not already in the habit of daily gratitude, you need to start! I can’t emphasize enough how empowering this habit is. You will be amazed at the clarity you get from setting your intentions, being grateful for what you have, visualizing the things you manifest, and then focusing on your day ahead.

My History with Gratitude and Manifestation

There was a time I, too, was not in the habit of being thankful every day. I felt lost. I had all of these dreams and goals, but I didn’t have direction or clarity. I just sat spinning my wheels without making forward progress. I can’t tell you how many Mondays or the first of each month that I would say to myself, “today is the day I start…” and then I would do it for a few days, maybe a week or two if I really was on a roll, but then I would lose sight of where I was headed. Or I would simply get distracted. I know I am not the only one who has done this; just look at all the failed New Year’s resolutions.

After so many failed attempts, I began listening to podcasts and reading anything and everything I could about manifesting and achieving goals. I listened to Tony Robbins, Lisa Bilyeu, Dave Ramsey, and so many others. I sought out any and all information I could find from anyone willing to share. And what I found was that everyone was saying similar things. Sure, they all had their own take on it, but the theme was the same. You had to have your “Why” and your eyes set on where you are headed. You had to be grateful for the things you already have. And you have to have an action plan.

I sat down and started thinking long and hard about my why and where I was headed. I knew what goals I was working on achieving (the goals are constantly evolving and changing, but nonetheless, there is always a goal). I focused on all I already had and all I was thankful for. I changed the narrative in my head to focus on being grateful for the dreams I am working towards instead of focusing on what I wasn’t doing or how I was failing. And then, I started constructing ways for me to take action.

There is Power in Belief and Gratitude

We have all heard the phrase “fake it until you make it.” Well, while I am not going to tell you to do this, it is pretty powerful. You see, something happens to us if we use the fake it until you make it mentality. We start behaving like the person who knows what we are doing. And interestingly, along the way, we learn and develop into that person. Now if you look at this from an energy and manifesting perspective, why do you think this change occurs? Well, you are putting it out into the Universe that you are something, not that you want something. You are stating it as if it has already happened. Thus signaling to the Universe that you deserve this and know whatever it is, is meant to be yours.

There is a massive amount of power in belief and gratitude when it comes to manifesting the life of your dreams. We have already discussed that gratitude is the quickest way to raise your vibration, so imagine when you combine that with being grateful for the things you are manifesting. Combining gratitude and belief in the life of your dreams will only draw it to you faster. So, fake it until you make it, or a better way to phrase it, “believe that the things you are manifesting are already headed your way!”

How to Use Gratitude to Manifest Your Dreams

Remember how I said I journal and how these are huge tools in the way that I manifest my dreams? Well, without digging too deep into it today, I basically write down ten things I am manifesting in my gratitude journal. These ten things are the same ten things I write every day until I have achieved them or the Universe has directed me elsewhere. The key here is that I am grateful for these ten things and am writing them as if they have already happened. Yep, I am “faking it until I make it!”

To learn more about my process, you can listen to my podcast or purchase my THRIVE MINDSET Gratitude Journal, which goes into more detail.

Do You Use Gratitude to Manifest?

I love sharing ideas and experiences with others. Although I know what works for me, I know that others do it differently. Please share with our community how you have succeeded in manifesting your dreams!
